Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about training at Brisbane Boxing.
Getting Started
Is Brisbane Boxing suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. You don't need boxing experience to get started. Our coaches help you learn the basics and build confidence at your own pace. Choose your preferred location and find a class that suits you.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. Boxing training helps you develop fitness over time. Let your coach know if you're new to exercise so they can help you work at an appropriate level.
Can I try a class before joining?
Yes. Free trials are available for Cardio Box, Kids Boxing and Fight Academy at both locations, plus Strength Box at Mt Gravatt. Book a trial at Mt Gravatt or West End, or contact the team for help finding the right class.
What should I bring to my first class?
Wear comfortable training clothes and trainers, and bring water, a towel and hand wraps. Gloves are available to borrow for your first trial, and wraps can be purchased at the gym.
Will I have to spar or fight?
No. You can enjoy boxing training without competing or sparring. Our fitness classes focus on coached training and conditioning.
