West End Boxing Club: A Legacy of Tradition and Family
Founded in 1991 by Harry Costi and Paul Rees, the West End Boxing Club is steeped in old-school, traditional boxing culture. In 2010, Khuram and Kamran Nasir took over and rebranded the gym as Brisbane Boxing, continuing its legacy while infusing new energy. By 2013, the gym relocated to a larger, character-filled space, offering a welcoming, family-oriented environment for all who walk through its doors.

I’ve been coming to Brisbane Boxing for over 10 years, since it was in Paris Street in west end. I keep coming back because it is such a good and fun workout. Every class is different and so it never gets boring. The best part is you don’t have to be a professional boxer to do it. They make it really accessible to learn how to box, so it’s great for beginners too. There’s also a great sense of community which you don’t get at other gyms. Could not speak more highly of Brisbane Boxing

At Brisbane Boxing, women can enjoy a fun yet empowering boxing gym experience with friendly and motivating staff who cater to all skill levels. I have been training here for several years and not once have I felt intimidated going in on my own. The gym is well-equipped and offers a range of classes that are challenging and engaging, with knowledgeable trainers who offer modifications for beginners and experienced boxers alike. Khuram and Karmen are the best! Thanks guys :)
